GENERAL OVERSEER
REV. VICTOR OLUFEMI FEYISETAN
Knowing Jesus Christ is to have eternal life. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. (Jn. 17:3). It is of great concern to know that a large percentage of the people the world over are yet to know Jesus Christ. The situation is so worrisome when viewed against the background that such people are yet to appreciate the love of God. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (Jn. 3:16). Many years ago, the common saying was "see Paris and die". This was because Paris being the capital of France was reported to be very beautiful. In the same vein, many people always try to catch a glimpse of world leaders, reigning champions in sports as well as influential people. The mad rush to catch a glimpse of such personalities is merely to satisfy their sensual desire without any eternal value. If the world has known Jesus Christ the Prince of Peace they would have sought Him like Greeks saying Sir, we would see Jesus (Jn. 12:21).
This calls for the need for
all and sundry to know more about Jesus Christ before they die. The scriptures
reveal that Jesus is the only begotten Son of God and the Lamb of God who came
to take away the sin of the world. (Jn. 1:18,29). He shed His precious and
sinless blood on the cross of Calvary for the remission of our sins. For it is
written.
And almost all things are
by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
(Heb. 9:22).
The Bible reveals that the life of the flesh is in the blood and that it is the
blood that makes atonement for soul. (Lev. 17:11). As the blood is the life of
the flesh, the blood shed by Jesus restored life to sinners who were already
dead in trespasses and sins. In
whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: (Col.1:
14). Jesus was sent so that the world through Him might be saved and
thus restore mankind to the exalted position of glory and dominion that Adam
lost in the garden of Eden through sin of disobedience. Sin therefore passed
into the world. For all have sinned, and
come short of the glory of God; (Rom. 3:23).
Every man born into the world
has therefore inherited sin, which separated from God as Adam and Eve were sent
away from the presence of God out of the garden of Eden. The love of God for
man constrained Him to initiate a programme for the reconciliation of mankind
with the merciful God, which Jesus came to fulfil. Jesus was therefore sent
into the world to shed His blood to atone for the sin of mankind. Jesus was the
only person who met this requirement of atonement because His birth was through
the instrumentality of the Holy Ghost and hence did not inherit the Adamic sin,
as He had no earthly father. As many as would appropriate the finished
sacrifice of Jesus on the cross through acknowledgment of sin, confession,
repentance, forsaking of sin and prayer of faith to God in the name of Jesus
shall be saved. My friend, you need not justify and exonerate yourself from
sins. Every inner voice whispering into your heart that you are a free thinker,
you are too young to accept Jesus, your parents and friends will mock and
persecute you, your sins are too grievous to be forgiven is from the devil. The
universal problem of sin is beyond any ideology, age, sex, background and
status. It is an issue of where an individual will spend eternity as the
fearful, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, whoremongers, sorcerers, idolaters
and liars shall all have their part in the lake of fire prepared for the devil
and his angels. (Rev. 21:8, Mt 25:41). God is angry with the wicked every day
and they shall be turned into hell if they fail to repent. (Ps. 7:11, 9:17).
Jesus who is the way, truth and life is appealing passionately to you to come
unto Him as He stands by the door of your heart and knocks for you to open so
that He can come and transform your life. He has promised that All
that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in
no wise cast out. (Jn. 6:37).
Remember that God loves you and does not want you to
perish. Jesus Christ is the only one who can save from sin, as there is no
salvation in any other name under heaven. (Acts. 4:12). You need to also know
that Jesus Christ has gone back to heaven to prepare a place for you and He is presently
sitting on the right hand of God where He is daily interceding for you to be
saved. Why don't you respond to His invitation today and be saved? Today is the
appointed day of salvation as tomorrow may be too late since there is judgment
after death. My dear friend, please pray this prayer and witness the transforming
power of Jesus Christ in your life.
Heavenly Father, I appreciate your love and will for me. Lord Jesus, I thank you most sincerely for your sacrifice for me on the cross. I acknowledge my sin and I confess them to you. I repent of all my sins and forsake them. Lord Jesus, pardon me for all my sins and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe that you died on the cross of Calvary, shed your blood and resurrected from the dead. I thank you for my forgiveness and cleansing with your precious blood. In Jesus' name I have prayed. Dear friend, I congratulate you for the bold steps you have just taken to come out of the life of sin.
This poser has undoubtedly
been agitating the minds of every person on earth. What you are to become in
life is already known to God (Acts 15:18), and is to a large extent in your own
hands. As the ways and thoughts of man are different from the ways and thoughts
of God (Isa. 55:7-9), the need for man to seek the ways and thoughts of God
become imperative.
As the word of God concerning every man shall surely come to
pass (Isa. 55:11), there is therefore the need to seek divine counsel for
direction and guidance. The first step in seeking divine counsel and direction
in life is by following the instruction of Jesus Christ. But seek ye first the kingdom of
God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. (Mt.
6:33). The entrance into the
kingdom of God is through Jesus Christ. Jesus
saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the
Father, but by me.
(Jn. 14:6). The pathway into the
kingdom of God is through calling upon God and forsaking of sins while
returning unto Him.Seek ye the Lord
while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake
his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him;
and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. (Isa. 55:6-7). As one
acknowledges, confess his sin and forsakes them, he shall have mercy. (Prov.
28:13). This is because salvation and reconciliation with God is achieved
through confession with the mouth of the Lord Jesus Christ and believing with
the heart His being raised from the dead. That if thou
shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart
that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the
heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made
unto salvation. (Rom. 10:9-10).
The
privilege of the new birth entitles one to become the son of God (Jn. 1:12),
with the added advantage of being led by
the Spirit of God, (Rom. 8:14) as well as becoming heirs of God and heirs with
Jesus Christ. (Rom. 8:17). Without the experience of the new birth with the
opportunity of being led of the Spirit, the ways and thoughts of man would be
at variance with those of God. The ways of a carnal man are clean in his own
eyes, but the thoughts of the righteous are right, while the counsels of the
wicked are deceitful. (Prov. 16:2; 12:5). The ways considered right by a carnal
man usually lead to death, failure, frustration and calamity. Some people have
the errorneous belief that success is
measured by prosperity, wealth, popularity and affluence but are not
aware that a man's life does not consist
in the abundance of what he possesses. (Lk. 12:15). The way of the wicked who
does not know God is like deep darkness and does not know what makes him to
stumble, (Prov. 4:19) as well as an abomination to the Lord. (Prov.15:9). It is
however, pathetic that the names of many rich, renowned and affluent people
soon went into obscurity after their demise. The memory of the just is
blessed: but the name of the wicked shall rot. (Prov. 10:7). But the path of the just is as the shining
light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day. (Prov. 4:18).
Such wicked people even though gained the whole world but lost their souls as
they walked in their own ways rather than that of God. (Mt. 16:26). There is
the need to know that it is not for man to direct his steps (Jer. 10:23), but
the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord. (Ps. 37:23). Man should
therefore commit his ways and thoughts unto God while not leaning on his own
understanding but allowing Him to direct your paths. (Prov. 3:5-6). The
scriptures did not give clear guidance as to which career to choose in order to
be successful, prosperous and be fulfilled in life but such matter requires the
inner guidance of the Holy Spirit, after being reconciled with God and
he will shew you thing to come. (Jn. 16:13c). You should therefore not
choose your career by sight, through palm readers, herbalists, false prophets,
astrologers, philosophers, professional and carnal counselors but only by being
led of God. (Isa. 48:17).
This is due to the fact that many people who had
nursed the ambition of becoming professors, renowned musicians, plumbers etc
after being led of God eventually became preachers and other fields of human
endeavours. In the same vein, while God purposed that some people should become
engineers, medical and paramedical practitioners, agriculturists, accountants,
lawyers, lecturers and teachers, journalists, civil servants and
administrators, security agents, playwrights, linguists, sociologists, business
tycoons, artisans etc they ended up doing what was contrary to the will of God
with attendant failures and frustrations. What man will become in life is
expected to be in line with God's way which is perfect, (Ps. 18:30) as God's
thoughts are not of evil but of peace to give you a good future (Jer. 29:11).
It must be emphasized that whatever you are to become in life has no bearing
with what you eat and the colour of dresses that you usually put on. Those who
ascribe these to your future prospects are mere ideologists and philosophers
whose carnal ways cannot please God. (Rom. 8:6-8). In conclusion, as the word
of God is sure, obedience to God in choosing your career would bring joy,
prosperity, long life and success since obedience is better than sacrifice (I
Sam.15:22), while worldly labour is vanity. (Eccl. 1:14).
Do you want to excel
in life and career, stand before great men, being well with you and your
children?, then accept Jesus Christ today. Dear friend, you are advised to
reflect on your past ways and thoughts, then consider the purpose of God for
you and order your steps in line with His perfect will. In order to achieve
this, you are also advised to pray thus in order to be ushered into God's kingdom.
Heavenly Father, I thank you for your love for me by the gift of your Son Jesus Christ. I acknowledge my sins. I confess and forsake them and I ask for forgiveness. I confess Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sins and that God has raised Him from the dead for my justification. I thank you for my forgiveness. In Jesus' name I have prayed.
Many people are
in this world without knowing the purpose for their existence, as they do not
know their Creator. Such people are therefore not aware of the expectation of
God for them, as well as their being called upon to account for their stay here
on earth after their demise. Our being accountable to God therefore demands
that we should know God as well as His expectation from us.
The Bible described
the lives and times of many individuals with either good or bad records. One generation
passeth away, and another generation cometh: but the earth abideth for ever. (Eccl. 1:4). David served his generation (Acts 13:36) and was remembered as a
man after the heart of God. (Acts 13:22). Moses also had earlier served his
generation and was remembered as the meekest man on earth. (Num. 12:3). The
life of man on earth is brief as his days are as a shadow that passed away.
(Ps. 144:4). A renowned writer painted the picture thus: I will pass this world
but once, whatever good that I can do, let me do it now, and let me not delay
it, for I will not pass through this world again. And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the
judgment: (Heb. 9:27).
This nullifies the erroneous belief of some people that if they
failed to live godly in their life time, they would come back again into this
world after their demise to redeem their image. This is the evil device of the
devil who is a liar and deceiver with the motive of securing eternal separation
for such people with God. The memory of the just is blessed: but the
name of the wicked shall rot. (Prov.
10:7). Many people have been destroyed on account of their spiritual
ignorance as they have rejected the counsel of God. (Hos. 4:6). Some wicked
people in an attempt to immortalize their names had commanded that streets and
public places should be named after them. His remembrance
shall perish from the earth, and he shall have no name in the street. (Job 18:17).
Some people are of the opinion that they are primarily in this
world to eat, drink, procreate, live in affluence, die and remain in the grave
for ever. (Lk. 12:19-21). Such people are however, not aware that God created
man for His glory and for Himself for which they are expected to proclaim His
praises. (Isa. 43:7, 21). Thou art worthy, O Lord,
to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and
for thy pleasure they are and were created.
(Rev. 4:11). God in His wisdom chose man before the creation of the world to be
blameless and had adopted us as sons through Jesus Christ in accordance to His
pleasure and will, in whom we have redemption through His blood and forgiveness
of sin. (Eph.1:4-7). As the Lord Almighty has purposed our adoption as sons
through Jesus Christ, none can therefore thwart His purpose. God's hand is
stretched out to lift us out of the dungeon of sin and death as none can turn
back His hand. (Isa. 14:27). One cannot therefore fulfil the purpose of God for
him without being reconciled to God as the works and prayers of the wicked are
abominations to the Lord. (Prov. 15:8).
The pathway to reconciliation with God is through acknowledgement of sin arising from transgression of the law, (Ps. 51:3), repentance (Acts 3:19) and confession of Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. (Rom. 10:9). It is to be noted that every man on earth shall give account of himself to God (Rom. 14:12), so that the living and the dead could be judged for which cause the gospel was preached even to those who have died. (I Pet. 4:5-6). Having been reconciled with God and being a new creature, the works of salvation in such people became the written epistle which others could read as evidence. (2 Cor. 3:2-3). A song writer put it thus:
While passing through this world of sin,
And others your life shall view,
Be clean and pure without, within,
Let others see Jesus in you,
In order to
fulfil the purpose of God for your life and have a good record before Him, then
you have to fear God and serve Him with a perfect heart. (I Chron. 28:9). The
Bible reported that king Asa did that which was good and right in the eyes of
the Lord his God. (2 Chron. 14:2), while king Josiah followed after his father
David in doing that which was right in the sight of the Lord. (2 Chron. 34:2).
Solomon, on the other hand did not follow after his father David. And Solomon did
evil in the sight of the Lord, and
went not fully after the Lord, as
did David his father. (1 Kings
11:6). You are to remember that one generation shall testify of your good
works to another as God Himself keeps as record of your activities here on
earth, in view of His omnipresence. The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.
(Prov. 15:3).
Those with bad records here before God will be denied entry into the city of God. (Rev. 21:27). In conclusion, you are advised to search your life diligently while pondering upon your past and present. You are to therefore decide for the Lord today as tomorrow may be too late to correct your past. (2 Cor. 6:2). Do you want to have a good record before God for eternal remembrance? then commit your life unto God. For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. (Tit. 2:11-14).
You are therefore advised to offer this prayer immediately. Heavenly Father, I thank you for making me to reflect on my past and present. I am aware that I have done that which was evil in your sight. I repent of my past misdeeds and ask for forgiveness. I confess Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour. I believe that Jesus is the Son of God who died on the cross for my sin and was raised from the dead. His precious blood was shed for the remission of my sins. I thank you for my forgiveness and for making me a new creature. In Jesus' name I have prayed.
It is a common saying that every day spent on earth lead us to our grave and therefore time and tide wait for no man. It should be emphasized that it is not the age at which a man dies that really matters as it is not how long but how well.
The
final destination of man after his death should be of paramount importance to
him. Man has vital role to play in determining his eternal abode. And these shall go away
into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
(Mt. 25:46). Every man must realize that the Lord is
gracious and compassionate, slow to anger, of great mercy and rich in love.
(Ps. 145:8). As a result of His love to mankind and being patient while not
wanting any one to perish but to come to repentance. God fashioned a programme
of redemption for man who was lost in sin. The problem of sin which brought
separation between God and man, needed to be purposely addressed in order to
pave way for reconciliation.God judgeth the
righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day. (Ps. 7:11).
Notwithstanding
the fact that God frowns at sin, yet many people are still in bondage of sin
while ignorantly claiming that they are still too young and should be allowed
to enjoy the good things of life before deciding for the Lord. The youths
should remember their Creator in their early days. (Eccl. 12:1). Some others
who are wallowing in sin have allowed the thoughts of the devil into their
minds thus insisting that they would commit the worst sins such as would provoke
God to fierce anger. These people believe to their doom that the anger of God
would make Him to throw them beyond the confines of the hell fire into
paradise. Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without
measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that
rejoiceth, shall descend into it. (Isa.
5:14).
Some people take solace in
the fact that despite their notories records of sins, nothing calamities had
ever happened to them and therefore they would continue to go on sinning. Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall
not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered. (Ps.
11:21). From the time of creation, man that was lost in sin had sought many
avenues of coming back to God without breakthrough. For my people have committed two evils;
they have forsaken me, the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns,
broken cisterns that can hold no water. (Jer. 2:13).
Jesus, the Son of
God was sent into this world to redeem man from his sins with His precious
blood as a Lamb of God whose responsibility was to take away the sin of the
world.
This
is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came
into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. (1 Tim 1:15). Jesus Christ admonished His disciples and by implication all
believers and sinners alike to be prepared and be ready for His coming that
will terminate this present dispensation of grace. Be ye therefore ready also:
for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not. (Luke
12:40).
If
Jesus warned believers during His earthly ministry to be ready for His second
coming, we in this present age should be more prepared and be fully ready for
the second coming of Jesus Christ which shall usher in judgement upon the earth
with destruction, woes and calamities. This punishment would be as a result of
the refusal of sinners to answer the call of the Saviour to come unto Him as
well as their apathy to look unto Him to be saved. You should therefore not
feel unconcerned about the future judgement of the ungodly as delay is
dangerous.
Because
I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man
regarded; But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my
reproof: I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear
cometh; When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh
as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you. (Prov. 1:24-27).
You are to realize that God
has overlooked your past ignorance but He is now calling you to repentance and
you should therefore make haste as Zacchaeus, the publican ran and climbed a
sycamore tree to see Jesus and hurried down to joyfully receive Him. (Lk.
19:5-6). You are to always remember that God had waited for you for so long. I
plead with you to accept Jesus like the thief on the cross who received Christ
at his dying moment. And
he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. And
Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in
paradise. Luke (23:42-43). I want you to know that it
is never too late to accept Jesus Christ but it may be too late to accept Him
and thus face eternal judgment if you die in your sins. I want to assure you
that all that come to Jesus irrespective of age, family background, social and
academic status, involvement in occultism, idolatry, sexual immorality and
other areas of sins, the Lord will not cast them away but accept them
willingly. (Jn. 6:37). Those who have been enjoying the patience and mercy of
God without any intention to repent will discover that it would be too late
once they die or when the Lord would return to take believers whose names are
written in the book of life to heaven.
And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. (Rev 20:15). Are you ready for the judgment day? you are advised to escape the judgment to come very soon upon the ungodly. Remember that time is running out as delay will bring death and perdition. The unfolding scenario in political and economic terrains in many parts of the world coupled with testimonies of angelic visitations point to the imminent return of Jesus. I therefore implore you to offer this prayer as quickly as possible. Our Most High God, I thank you for your patience and mercy for me all these past years, I now realize that your patience may run out any moment from now. I confess Jesus Christ, the Son of God as my Lord and Saviour. I believe that He died on the cross for me and that His precious blood was shed for the remission of my sins. I also believe that He has been raised up from the dead and has also raised me up with Him to become a new creature. In Jesus' name I prayed.
Obedience is the whole duty
of man to his God and Creator. Obedience and faith always go together as
partners in bringing about the desired blessings from God. No wonder then that
God commanded obedience from the first man on earth so that he could live and
not die both spiritually and physically. (Gen. 2;16-17). Disobedience to the
commandment of God through yielding to temptation and unbelief was the origin
of sin resulting in the power to do evil rather than doing good.
For all have
sinned, and come short of the glory of
God; (Rom 3:23). Sin therefore brought
separation between God and man as well as loss of fellowship as two people
cannot walk together unless they are in mutual agreement. (Amos. 3:3). The
disobedience of the first man on earth made all human beings to become sinners
with resultant curses and separation from God. Man has since then been making
unsuccessful attempts at coming back to God. The love of God for man that was
lost in sin informed His initiating and executing a programme of redemption for
him, whereby Jesus would come as the seed of the woman into the world to deliver
mankind from the bondage of sin. (Gen. 3:15).
This deliverance from sin and its
consequences was expected to bring reconciliation between God and man. The need
for perfect and unconditional obedience can therefore not be over-emphasized in
this process of reconciliation. It should be recalled that the fall of man was
master-minded by Satan being our archenemy. This deceiver has continued to
blindfold multitudes of people up to the present day to disobey God's
commandment through ignorance and unbelief. But if our gospel
be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath
blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious
gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. (2 Cor. 4:3-4).
For this reason, many people are
under an illusion that they have committed unpardonable sins which they
considered impossible to be forgiven through obedience to the word of God and
faith in Jesus Christ. It should be settled in the minds of all and sundry that
God is merciful and always willing to forgive as many as come to Him by repentance. The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a
broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. (Ps 34:18). You
are to realize that your life of crisis, calamities, misfortunes and
frustrations are brought about by disobedience and sin. Behold,
the Lord's hand is not shortened,
that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have
separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you,
that he will not hear. (Isa 59:1-2).
The devil has deceived you into believing that because of your wealth, status
and popularity, you have no need of anything else. You are to realize that
without Jesus in your life you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked.
(Rev. 3:17). For such people who show contempt for the riches of God's
kindness, tolerance and patience, they are yet to realize that it was God's
design for leading them to repentance. (Rom. 2:4).
The prodical son in the
Bible did not consider his situation as impossible but while coming to his
senses, thought it fit to come to his father to declare his unworthiness before
him.
And he arose,
and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw
him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him. And the
son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and
am no more worthy to be called thy son. (Luke 15:20-21). Your
own situation is not worse than that of the prodical son who humbled himself to
seek forgiveness from his father. Some people are wallowing in their sins and
iniquities but feel too proud to humble themselves to come to the Saviour. They
are to realize that this is the ploy of the devil to have them destroyed.
Pride goeth
before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. (Prov.
16:18). You
should therefore stop running from pillar to post trying to seek help where
there is none as obedience to the word of God through Jesus Christ will ensure
that you are not condemned but able to cross from death to life. (Jn. 5:24).
Jesus is therefore knocking at the door of your heart to enable Him come in and
have communion with you. (Rev. 3:20). You are to therefore allow Jesus into
your heart as you confess Him as your Lord and Saviour while believing that He
is the Son of God who died for your sins. I want you to realize that this could
be your last chance to accept Jesus Christ while you are here on earth and you
should therefore not allow this golden opportunity to elude you. You should
know that you are a candidate for heaven and not destined to perish.
As obedience is better than sacrifice, therefore all things are possible to him that believes in God. Be assured that the day of your sorrow and mourning shall be over once you come into God's Kingdom through Jesus Christ. (Isa. 60:20). I implore you to cry aloud like the two blind men did to Jesus the Saviour. Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou Son of David. (Mt. 20:30b). All your sins shall be blotted away and the blessings of obedience shall be your lot and portion as you receive Jesus Christ joyfully today, Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. (Rev 22:14). You obedience will guarantee your living eternally with Jesus Christ. Please offer this prayer now to receive Jesus Christ into your life. Heavenly Father, I thank you for your message of life to me. I have realized my life of disobedience to your word through ignorance and unbelief. As I repent of all my sins, I ask for forgiveness. I confess Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and believe that He is the Son of God who died and raised alive having shed His blood for the remission of my sins. I believe that I have received forgiveness for my sins. In Jesus' name I have prayed.
It is the
earnest expectation of every person on earth to be ushered into heaven at the
end of his or her sojourn on earth. This is because if wishes were horses, the
beggars would ride. In the light of this, many who had nursed the ambition of
going back to God in heaven after their demise would undoubtedly be disappointed
as they had not made adequate preparation here on earth to be qualified to live
with God. The situation of such people can be likened to someone who had
thought that he would inherit his Father's house after his death. He would have
been disappointed upon finding out that he was not the rightful son of the
deceased father after thorough investigation. This pathetic situation would be
the portion of those who have failed to meet the prerequisite for living in the
Father's house in heaven. This would be due to the failure of such people to
look unto the Saviour to be saved while
here on earth. And there shall in no wise
enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination,
or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life. (Rev. 21:27).
Jesus disclosed to the Jews that whosover commits sin is a slave
to sin and a slave has no permanent place in the family but a son belongs to
the family for ever. (Jn. 8:34-35). The question that should bother you now is whether
you are a slave or a member of the family of God. This is important as it will
determine your eligibility for a mansion in the Father's house in heaven. It
should be abundantly clear to you that those living in such sins such as
various forms of sexual immorality, idolatry, theft, covetousness, drunkenness,
reviling and exhortion shall not inherit the kingdom of God. (I Cor. 6:9-10).
It may be that you are in this sinful situation while still putting on your
garment of self-righteousness, which is like a filthy rag and whose fate shall
be expulsion from the presence of the Lord unto a place of eternal torment. Then said the king to the
servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer
darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. (Mt. 22:13).
In order that you may not be rejected into the Father's house in
heaven on the last day, you are enjoined to enter through the narrow gate as
the small and the narrow gate leads to eternal life. (Mt. 7:13-14). The pathway to life is to
acknowledge your sin, repent and seek forgiveness while confessing Jesus Christ
as your Lord and Saviour. You are also to believe on Him as the Son of God who
died on the cross and was raised from the dead for your justification. And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou
shalt be saved, and thy house. (Acts
16:31). Jesus is therefore the way to the
Father's house in heaven. Jesus has gone back to heaven to prepare a place for
you in His Father's house where there are many mansions. He will come back to
take every believer unto Himself so as to live eternally with Him. In my Father's house are
many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a
place for you. (Jn. 14:2).
The assurance
of heavenly mansions for all believers should arouse their consciousness of
heaven by laying up their treasure there. As believers are pilgrims here on
earth with heavenly citizenship, they should eagerly await the return of the
Saviour and the Lord Jesus Christ to usher them into heaven. So Christ was
once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he
appear the second time without sin unto salvation. (Heb. 9:28). As heaven is a prepared place for the prepared people, it is such
that the beauty and glory of it is beyond human comprehension. But as it is
written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart
of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. (I Cor. 2:9).
A wealthy man was reported to have told a preacher that his castle was more grandiose than the heavenly mansions. Based upon his disclosure that an earthly engineer designed and built his castle, he was dumbfounded when asked as to what he expected the Most High God to design and build. The heavenly mansions are enough to cater for the great multitudes of uncountable saints from every nation, tribe and language that would stand before the throne and in front of the Lamb. (Rev. 7:9). This nullifies the erroneous doctrine of some people that only a given number of people would be saved and also that it has already been concluded. In the light of the foregoing, your decision will determine your destination as those who accept Jesus Christ shall secure mansions in heavenly mansions. If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour. (Jn. 12:26). Do you want God to honour you with a mansion in heaven and live together with our Lord Jesus Christ?, then accept Him today as you offer this prayer. Heavenly Father, I thank you for your love and care for me. I realize that my life of sin cannot secure a heavenly mansion for me. I repent of my sins and ask for forgiveness. I confess the Lord Jesus as the Son of God and my Saviour and believe in my heart that God has raised Him from the dead. I thank you for answered prayer. In Jesus' name I have prayed.
It is rather
pathetic that many people are in this world without knowing the purpose for
which God created them. Such people are therefore not aware of their eternal
birth-right which was lost through the fall of man. Every mortal man should be
aware that God created him with God's consciousness so as to recognize the
existence of the Creator. Ignorance of man concerning the expectation of God
from him will therefore not be accepted as an excuse as his conscience has
always been bearing witness with him. (Rom. 2:13-15). It is therefore
imperative upon every living man on earth to
be aware of his eternal birth-right.
The realization of this all
important endowment of man will encourage him to seek the pathway of regaining
his eternal birth-right. The eternal consequences of failure to regain the
eternal birth-right while here on earth is so grievous that such people would
be eternally separated from God and condemned to spend eternity in the lake of
fire.
And
whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of
fire. (Rev. 20:15).
God created man
in His own image and likeness to have dominion over all other creations being
the crown of created beings. (Gen. 1:26). As God is a Spirit, those that will
worship Him must do so in spirit and in truth for which cause man in his
original creation was supposed to have fellowship with the Father and His Son
Jesus Christ. (Jn. 4:24). The condition for man's fellowship with God was by
retaining God's consciousness in him with his spirit, soul and body being
blameless. This was the eternal birth-right which man lost due to disobedience
as he chose to obey Satan rather than God. For all have sinned, and come short of the
glory of God. (Rom. 3:23).
This situation caused man the loss of his
fellowship with God as He is of a purer eyes than to behold evil, and cannot
therefore condone any iniquity (Hab. 1:13). The fall of man also resulted in
both spiritual and physical death as well as eternal separation from God. The
spiritual death predisposed man to the loss of God's light, joy, peace and love
with the disastrous loss of God's consciousness. The fallen man was thus in
bondage to sin, being capable of doing wicked things and with no power to
please God.
But
I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and
bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. (Rom. 7:23).
As God created man for His
pleasure, the need to regain his eternal birth-right cannot be overemphasized.
It is only upon this premise that man can regain his fellowship with God. The
eternal birth-right can be likened to a valid entry visa which enables a
traveler to be admitted into another country as those who do not carry such
valid visa are turned back at the border post. Your eternal birth-right is the
prerequisite for being allowed before the presence of God in heaven at the end
of your sojourn here on earth. This eternal birth-right is evidenced by being
born again, and which will enable one to live forever. Jesus is the Mediator
between God and man as He had offered Himself to obtain eternal redemption for
man. (Heb. 9:11-12). There is the need for those living in sin and being
carnally minded as well as being enemies of God to appropriate the finished
works of Jesus Christ on the cross.
For he hath made him to be
sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in
him. (2 Cor. 5:21). You are
expected to acknowledge your sins, confess and repent of them. You are then to
confess Jesus Christ, the Son of God as your Lord and Saviour while believing
in your heart that He died and that God has raised Him from the dead. (Rom.
10:9-10). It should be realized that it was the blood of Jesus shed on the
cross that gave man redemption and forgiveness of his sins. In
whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according
to the riches of his grace; (Eph. 1:7). Those who have regained their eternal birth-right here on earth
shall be welcomed into heaven by the Lord Jesus Christ. Then shall the King say
unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom
prepared for you from the foundation of the world: (Mt. 25:34).
Those who would have failed to regain their eternal birth-right would rejected by the Lord Jesus. Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels. (Matt. 25:41). You are thus to hold tightly to your eternal birth-right after you have regained it so that you do not lose it. In order to be a partaker of the inheritance of saints that are walking in the light which is incorruptible, undefiled and durable, you have to take immediate steps to regain your eternal birth-right. The choice is solely in your hand as a free moral agent that can determine your fate through your decision. My dear friend, do you want to be admitted into heaven or be rejected for not possessing your eternal birth-right? Think about the consequences of either spending eternity with God or spending eternity in the lake of fire where there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. (Mt. 8:12). I plead with you therefore to make the right decision as you offer this prayer to regain your eternal birth-right and be ushered into the kingdom of God. My God and my Creator, I thank you for your love and affection for me for opening my eyes to eternal plan for me. I now realize the need to spend eternity with you in heaven. I acknowledge my sins, confess and repent of them as well as asking for forgiveness. I confess Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and I believe that He is the Son of God who died for my sins and God has raised Him from the dead for my justification. I thank you for answered prayer and forgiveness. In Jesus' name I have prayed.
It is a common thing for
people to deny the existence of hell being a place of torment. Such people
ignorantly argue that as no one has ever been there, the possibility of knowing
about hell is very remote. The word of God does not put us in doubt about the
reality of hell.
And in hell he lift up his eyes, being
in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried
and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip
the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this
flame. (Lk. 16:23-24).
As hell is real, the ignorant, gainsayers, mockers and the unconcerned people
should make conscious effort to avoid spending eternity in a place of eternal
torment. In as much as hell is a place prepared for the devil and his angels,
Satan has thus perfected his strategies to make the unsuspecting and hardened
sinners believe that there is no hell and that there is no God. THE fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are
corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good. (Ps.
14:1).
Since Satan is aware that hell is his final abode, he has thus
been instigating his agents to disseminate erroneous and false doctrines about
hell. The evil machination of the devil is to ensure that as many people as
possible are eventually deceived and consequently turned into hell. It should
be known to all the people that had been deceived about the existence of hell
that it is a ploy of the devil to steal their joy, kill them spiritually and
physically and to have them destroyed. This notwithstanding, the Bible has
validated the reality of hell so as to warn all the people throughout various
dispensations.
For what if some did not
believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? God forbid:
yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou
mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art
judged. (Rom. 3:3-4).
The Bible teaches us that hell is a place of outer darkness where
there shall be weeping and gnashing of the teeth. (Mt. 25:30). It is also a
place of unquenchable fire and where their worms do not die. (Mk. 9:43-44).
Hell is the abode of unsaved people as well as place of divine wrath and
eternal separation from God. There are diverse oral and written encounters of
people who at one time or the other had encounters with the reality of hell.
One of such people disclosed that no word of mouth could adequately describe
the fearful nature of hell. These testimonies confirming the existence of hell
are designed to warn sinners in all generations so as not to face eternal
judgement and condemnation. The word of God has clearly established that while
hell is a place of torments, heaven on the other hand is the future blessedness
and hope of all believers. It is a place of eternal fellowship with God as well
as a life of rest, joy, abundance and glory. Heaven is so glorious that our
earthly language is inadequately to describe it, being the eternal dwelling
place for the saints of all ages. (Isa. 64:4).
As sinners are forever consigned
to hell and genuine believers are entitled to live eternally with God. The
decision as to where everybody will spend eternity is solely in his or her
hand. You have now been shown the expectation of God from you. He hath shewed
thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord
require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly
with thy God? (Mic. 6:8). In order therefore to escape God's judgement that will culminate
into being cast into hell at the end of your sojourn here on earth, you are to
urgently seek God while repenting and forsaking your sins. You are to
appreciate what Jesus Christ has done for you on the cross where He died for
your sins. He shed His precious blood for the remission of your sin. And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without
shedding of blood is no remission. (Heb. 9:22).
You are therefore to look
unto Jesus and be saved as there is no salvation in any other name rather than
in the name of Jesus as He is the Saviour of the world. The pathway to
salvation consequent upon repentance and forsaking your sins is to confess with
your mouth the Lord Jesus as your Saviour. You are to believe in your heart
that He is the Son of God who died for your sins and that God has raised Him up
from the dead for your justification. (Rom. 10:9). I want you to realize that
this is a golden opportunity for you to call upon Jesus Christ and be saved. You
are therefore advised not to procrastinate as this may result into unpleasant
eternal consequences if you die suddenly without being saved. Today is the day
of salvation as tomorrow may be too late. Please do not consider your past sins
as obstacles to your being saved as Jesus Christ is always willing to accept
you whenever you call upon Him.
All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. (Jn. 6:37). Jesus Christ has further assured you that obedience to this message while believing that God sent Him to this world for the work of salvation shall result into your having eternal life. You shall not be condemned but that you are passed from death unto life.(Jn. 5:24). I want you to know that God loves you and that He does not want you to perish in hell fire but to call upon Him and be saved. I plead with you to offer this prayer so as to escape God's judgement and be The most High God, I thank you for your love, care and concern for me. I have now realized that the devil has been deceiving me about the reality of hell. I acknowledge my sins, repent, forsake them and ask for forgiveness. I confess Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that He is the Son of God who died and shed His precious blood for the remission of my sins. I also believe that God has raised Him up from the dead for my justification. I thank you for answered prayer. In Jesus' name I have prayed.
This is a situation of eternal regret, which is certainly not redeemable. There are many people in the world that are currently involved in actions and activities that would eventually lead them to such a deplorable state of eternal regret without realizing it. It should be noted that those who would have found themselves in this state of regret are those who rejected the counsel of God by hardening their necks while here on earth. Such people would have preferred to listen to the suggestion and deceit of the devil to their own doom. Those who rejected the Saviour shall be consigned into hell where there will be no opportunity for them to restitute their sinful ways while here on earth.
The wicked shall be turned
into hell, and all the nations that forget God (Ps. 9:17). The popular sign posts on many of our major roads and high ways
normally read thus "You have been
warned". This timely warning has always been the counsel of God to
sinners and backsliders since the creation of man on the surface of the earth.
God has always emphasized obedience to His word and that godliness is
profitable. But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will
be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have
commanded you, that it may be well unto you. (Jer. 7:23).
Jesus Christ warned His disciples to fear God who has
the power to kill and to cast into hell as well as warning the people to repent
so as not to perish like the Galileans who were reportedly offered in
sacrifice. (Lk. 13:3). The counsel of God is that you should not allow the
moral decadence characterized by the foretold events of the last days to take
you from your steadfastness. But evil men and seducers
shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. (2Tim. 3:13). Notwithstanding
these divine pleadings, some people erroneously believe that there is still
opportunity for them to come back into the earth after their demise to amend
the wrongs they have done. Such people are not aware that there is no second
chance for them. And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the
judgment: (Heb. 9:27). A
believer once lamented at the plight of hardened sinners and the severe
judgment that will soon come upon them. This believer then warned these
hardened sinners that it would be too late to make amends if on getting to
their final destination and they are rejected.
The consciences of such hardened
sinners would also have warned them to no avail but at last they will be forced
to confess that they have been warned and if they had known the consequences of
their impenitence, they would have obeyed the wise counsels. In the same
manner, those who have contracted the incurable disease of HIV AIDs would have
been regretting their uncontrolled sexual perverseness and for not taking to
warnings from diverse sources. This same situation is true of adolescent and
youths as well as the aged that have indulged themselves in antisocial vices
like excessive drunkenness, drug addiction, occultism and exhortion etc. As
soon as these activities have got to the climax resulting in punishable crimes
and offences, then they would regret their actions as they would cry aloud
"Had I known!". Such people
could have rejected wise counsels from well-meaning individuals and groups.
Before it is too late you are advised to come to the Saviour as He cares for
you in this deplorable state. Come
unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take
my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye
shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. (Mt. 11:28-30). As there is no
man on earth that does not commit sin, you are advised to seek the Lord and
call upon Him while forsaking your ways and return unto the Lord.
Seek
ye the Lord while he may be found,
call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked
forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto
the Lord, and he will have mercy
upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. (Isa. 55:6-7). The wise counsel should be followed up by
the acknowledgment of your sins, confess and repent of them. You are to confess
Jesus Christ as the Son of God and your Lord and Saviour. You are also to
believe that He died a substitutionary death for the propitiation of your sins
and that God has raised Him up to glory. You should therefore not follow the
footsteps of these people who having perceived the danger and failed to run are
thus punished.
Those who have been warned on several occasions to repent and to
turn away from their sins, if they fail to take heed shall be in danger of
eternal damnation (Mk. 3:29). Do you want to follow the footsteps of those who
would forever regret their actions? I am therefore appealing to you to listen
to the voice of the Spirit pleading with you to forsake your evil and wicked
ways and seek the Lord before it is too late. You are to realize that once you
give up the ghost in your sins and have to face eternal judgment, then you
would be blaming yourself for not doing the right thing at the right time. I
advise you not to sit on the fence while others are daily returning to their
Creator with contrite hearts and godly sorrows for their sins which would lead
them to salvation. Your own situation should not be like the rich man in the
Bible who died in his sin and was carried to hell but in regretting his actions
while here on earth appealed to Father Abraham to send someone to warn his
other five brethren so as not to come to that place of torments. (Lk.
16:27-28). Your wise decision of today will determine your eternal destiny. I
advise you to offer this prayer so as to escape eternal regret and judgment.
Heavenly Father, I thank you for your timely warning to me. I have now realized my sinful life which could lead me to eternal regret. I confess and repent of my sins and forsake them while asking for forgiveness. I confess Jesus Christ as Son of God and my Lord and Saviour. I believe that He died on the cross for the remission of my sins and that God has raised Him up from the dead. I believe that my request has been granted and my sins forgiven. In Jesus' name I have prayed.
It is important
for the mortal man to know that sin entered into the world and death came
through sin as a result of the fall of Adam through disobedience to God in the
garden of Eden. Since the fall of the first man on earth both sin and death had
thus become universal, having been passed upon all men. There is therefore no
man that is born into this world who has not inherited both sin and death.
Wherefore,
as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed
upon all men, for that all have sinned: (Rom.
5:12). Adam is the symbol of sin and death while Jesus Christ is the
symbol of life. Universal guilt and condemnation became the consequence of the
fall of man. This informed the need for those that are under the bondage of sin
to come out of death into life.
As the father of mankind has sinned, therefore
sin has continued to spread from generation to generation. Every one of them is gone back:
they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. (Ps.
53:3). Those who usually claim that they have never sinned in whatever form
are thus deceiving themselves, as there is no truth in them. (I Jn. 1:8). Sin
brought all forms of abomination and wickedness into the world which were
disliked by the righteous God, Being filled with all
unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of
envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters,
haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things,
disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural
affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the
judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not
only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. (Rom. 1:29:32).
All these acts of ungodliness had thus
brought separation between God and man as a result of which God can no longer
hear the prayers of sinners as they are abominations to the Holy God. Such
sinners cannot therefore enjoy the favour of God because their hands have been
defiled with blood while their lips have spoken lies and their tongues have
uttered perverseness. (Is. 59:2-3). There are many people in the world who do
not realize that they have been shedding innocent blood with their lips. Your
lack of love for your neighbours has made you a murderer. Whosoever hateth his brother is a
murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.(I
Jn. 3:15). The moral decadence that is rampant in every society today is
one of the effects of the depravity of sin in the world. It is the erroneous
belief of many people that as the judgment of God is yet to come upon them,
they are likely to escape any present or future judgment. Because
sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of
the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil. Though a sinner do evil an
hundred times, and his days be prolonged, yet surely I know that it shall be
well with them that fear God, which fear before him: But it shall
not be well with the wicked, neither shall he prolong his days, which are as a
shadow; because he feareth not before God. (Eccl
8:11-13).
It should be understood by all and sundry that the eyes of God
are in every place beholding the evil and the good. (Prov. 15:3). The Bible
enables us to know that yielding ourselves to sin renders us to be in bondage
to sin and death, while obedience to God and His word imparts the righteousness
of Christ upon us. Know ye not,
that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom
ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?(Rom. 6:16). It should be abundantly clear to you that no sinner shall ever go
unpunished as the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness
and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness. (Rom. 1:18).
It may be that you are still in the
dilemna of sin and death, but my good news for you is that Chirst had died a
substitutionary death for the sins of mankind and has also been raised up from
the dead for your justification. Jesus Christ has thus purchased the gift of
salvation for mankind, having paid the price of their redemption with His
precious blood. The gift of salvation is therefore the requirement to enable
one live eternally with God while passing from death into life. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ
shall all be made alive. (I Cor. 15:22).
I therefore plead with you to take
urgent step to come out of sin and death into life by accepting the gift of
salvation purchased for you by Jesus Christ on the Cross of Calvary. This
becomes imperative, as all sinners shall have their part in the lake of fire,
(Rev. 21:8). As there is danger looming ahead, you should not foresee evil and
hide yourself while feeling unconcerned until you are punished. A prudent man
foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are
punished. (Rom. 22:3). The pathway
out of sin into life is to therefore repent of your sins, forsake them and
confess Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. As you believe in His sacrifice
on the cross that He died for your sins and has been raised up for your
justification, your sins shall be forgiven. (Rom. 10:9). This will entitle you
to pass from death into life on the basis of grace and faith in Jesus Christ.
I
advise you to offer this prayer immediately in order to be ushered into the
kingdom of God while receiving eternal life.
My Lord and my God, I thank you for opening up my eyes to know the pathway of coming out of sin and death into life. I acknowledge my sins, repent and ask for forgiveness. I confess Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and believe in my heart that He is the Son of God who died for my sins. I also believe that God has raised Him up from the dead for my justification. I thank you for answered prayer. In Jesus' name I have prayed.
Many people are in this world today who do not know that they should first answer the call of God before they can be able to realize the plan and purpose of God for them. It is a thing of regret that those who should have started their lives with God have been deceived into believing that they can be successful outside the will of God. Such people have therefore got their priorities wrong from the onset. It should be abundantly clear that everybody is expected to start his morning, afternoon and evening with God. He is expected to start his prayer with God and end it with God. In essence, no man is to do anything independent of his Creator.
The result of being self-willed by the first man on earth led to his
fall into sin with its attendant separation from God.
And
when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to
the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit
thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. (Gen. 3:6). The first man and woman on earth thus failed to first do the
bidding of God but deliberately allowed themselves to be lured into temptation
by the devil. No wonder then that God commanded that we should first seek His
Kingdom and its righteousness before other blessings can go along with it. (Mt.
6:33).
This is emphasizing that every human being should first be reconciled
with God through repentance before he can be entitled to the blessings of God's
kingdom. This charge becomes imperative as there is not a just man on earth
that is doing good and without sinning (Eccl. 7:20). It goes without saying
that sin is universal which has always been the obstacle from first obeying
God's commandment. All we like sheep have
gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us
all. (Isa 53:6). As obedience
is better than doing those things that are not pleasing to God, we should take
immediate step to do the will of God so as to be saved and come to the
knowledge of truth. God has always been calling upon every man on earth to look
upon Him and be saved, but to do otherwise amounts to being self-willed.
Therefore
will I number you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter:
because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye did not hear; but
did evil before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not. (Isa
65:12). A female domestic servant was reported to have decided to be
self-willed by refusing to accept Christ when she had the opportunity to do so
but died suddenly and was ushered into hell. The excuse of this girl was that,
she considered herself too young to accept Christ as that would restrain her
from cheating her master. REMEMBER now thy Creator in the days of thy
youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt
say, I have no pleasure in them; (Eccl. 12:1). In like manner, it was
also reported that someone who refused to give his life to the Lord Jesus after
listening to a sermon died later that night in a motor accident. His reason for
refusing the call to salvation was that he had more ample time to consider the
implication of accepting the call of God. It is thus a glorious thing to begin
everyday with God so as receive His instructions and guidance.
For a
day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in
the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. (Ps 84:10). The
widow in the Bible who obeyed the prophet by accepting to prepare a little cake
first for him did not lack during the famine as she had divine supplies. It
should be realized that God is the provider of all good things which should be
your portion once your first accept to come into His kingdom. Thine, O Lord, is the greatness, and the power,
and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven
and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all. Both riches and
honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and
might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all. (1 Chron. 29:11-12).
It should now be abundantly clear to you that
Satan and his agents have no good plans for you other than his deceit that will
eventually ruin you. I therefore plead with you to resolve today, to obey God
first in all situations so that the blessings of obedience shall be your
portion. Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white
as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If ye be
willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: (Isa 1:18-19). The pathway to obeying God is to first accept the gift of
salvation which Jesus Christ purchased for mankind on the cross where He died
and shed His blood for the remission of sins. You have to therefore appreciate
Christ's sacrifice on the cross by confessing Him as your Lord and Saviour. You
are also to believe in your heart that He is the Son of God who died and shed
His blood for your sins and also that God has raised Him up from the dead.
(Rom. 10:9).
I advise you to take urgent action to first do the will of God
that will launch you into eternal bliss as your offer this prayer.
My Lord and my God, I thank you for your love for mankind. I have now appreciated the need to first do your bidding. I acknowledge my sins, repent and ask for forgiveness. I confess Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour. I believe that He is the Son of God who died for my sins on the cross and that God has raised Him up from the dead. I believe that my prayer has been answered. In Jesus' name I have prayed.
It is the
erroneous belief of many people that the grave is the final destination of
mortal beings. This is because such people
are not aware of the programme of God for man-kind. There are also many people who erroneously
believe that when someone with prolonged sickness characterized by excruciating
pains eventually dies, he or she has gone to a final resting place. Little do
such people realize that death is the transition from earth into a place of
eternity. The wicked is driven away in his wickedness: but the righteous hath
hope in his death. (Prov.14:32). It should be known to all and sundry
that any one born into this earth shall live for ever.
The bible confirms this
when a man that had died was still able to engage in discussion with father
Abraham who had died several years ago. And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in
torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried
and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the
tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this
flame. (Lk16:23-24). The Bible is an historical record of God's
dealings with mankind since the time of creation. It becomes clear and
imperative for all and sundry to have deep knowledge of the plan and purpose of
God for mankind as ignorance of such will not be accepted as an excuse on the
day of judgment. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast
rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to
me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy
children. (Hos. 4:6).
The Bible which
is the word of God is the only source of knowledge between the immortal God and
the mortal man. Such a valuable and well cherished word of God should therefore
not be rejected so that God will not reject man on the last day. When someone
is about to go on a journey, he must
start to prepare ahead of time so that the last minute rush will not make him
forget what he should have done and so as not to forget those things to be
included in his luggage. This is because we do not have a continuing city in
this world but should seek that which is to come where our blessings are
awaiting us. (Heb. 13:14). We should therefore be well prepared so as to avoid
any embarrassment upon getting to our final destination. If in this life
only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. (I Cor. 15:19). As a result of this, it is important for
every mortal being to know about the eternal blessedness that is awaiting them
in the kingdom of God. It should be realized that peace, riches and honour in
the physical and spiritual shall be the portion of those that are obedient to
God and His word in addition to the opportunity of living eternally with God.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: (Eph 1:3). In view of the eternal blessings that are awaiting the obedient who have chosen God as well as keeping His commandments, there is the need for every one to examine himself as the coming of the Lord is very imminent. (2 Cor. 13:5). It should be understood that those who have rejected the word of God shall be rejected on the last day and be thrown into hell where there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. (Matt 22:13). Death is the point of separation between those who have accepted the word of God by accepting the gift of salvation purchased for mankind by Jesus Christ on the cross and those who have rejected Him. In the light of the foregoing, it is imperative for the mortal man to be acquianted with the secret of partaking in eternal bliss with his God and Creator. This is because it is not the will of God that any should perish but that they should come to repentance. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9). The need for repentance and reconciliation was as a result of the loss of the right to partake in eternal bliss by the first man on earth as he disobeyed God's commandment with the consequence of death. And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. (Gen 2:16-17). There must be reconciliation between God and man to the original state at creation through repentance and forgiveness of sin before being qualified to partake in eternal bliss. Jesus Christ was sent by God into the world for this purpose.
For God so loved the world,
that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not
perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16). Jesus is the person in
whose name you can be saved. (Acts 4:12). Jesus is the one who died for the sins
of the world on the cross where His blood was shed for the remission of sins.
He was raised up from the dead on the third day having completed the work of
salvation. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received,
how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; (I Cor. 15:3-4). It is now time for you to
accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour as today is the day of salvation, since
delay is dangerous if you die suddenly in your sins. The eternal consequences
of being disqualified from partaking in the eternal bliss cannot be easily
fathomed when viewed against the background of what would be lost.
But as it is
written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart
of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. (I Cor. 2:9). I plead with you not to give excuses like
those invited to the feast in the bible and would not come, but acknowledge
your sins, repent and ask for forgiveness. You are to confess Jesus Christ as
your Lord and Saviour while believing that He is the Son of God who died for
the remission of your sins and also that God has raised Him up from the dead.
(Rom. 10:9). I plead with you to offer this prayer now in order to be qualified
to partake in the eternal bliss.
Heavenly Father, I thank you for opening my eyes to the reality of eternal blessedness. I acknowledge my sins, repent and ask for forgiveness. I confess Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour. I believe that Jesus is the Son of God who died for my sins on the cross where He shed His blood for the remission of sins, and that God has raised Him up from the dead for my justification. I thank you for answered prayer. In Jesus' name I have prayed.
The
erroneous belief of many people is that they have committed unpardonable sins.
Such people are yet to realize that whatever is the nature and magnitude of
their sins, they shall be forgiven when they are genuinely repented. Come
now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as
scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they
shall be as wool. If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the
land; But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be
devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
(Isa. 1:18-20). These people should
realize that the sacrifice of Jesus had blotted away their sins and shall no
more be remembered. (Jer. 31:34).
The word of God which is likened to water and
the blood of Jesus are freely available to cleanse from all sins, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son
cleanseth us from all sin. (I
Jn. 1:7b). Those whose sins have been forgiven upon genuine repentance
shall therefore be washed clean and be made whiter than snow. You may not be a
worst sinner than Apostle Paul whose sins were forgiven and was then called by
the Lord, Jesus Christ as a chosen vessel and an apostle. This is a faithful saying, and
worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save
sinners; of whom I am chief. Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in
me first Jesus Christ might show forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them
which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting. (I Tim. 1:15-16).
You are to be therefore informed that God has overlooked your ignorance but He
is now commanding everybody all over the world to repent. (Acts 17:30). Now
that you have been sufficiently enlightened, you are advised to enter into
partnership with Jesus Christ the Saviour who is ever willing that whosoever
shall come to Him shall not be cast away (Jn. 6:37). God the Father is not
willing that any should perish through ignorance, stubbornness and unbelief but
that all should come into repentance (2 Pet. 3:9). The need to be whiter than
snow becomes imperative as it is a mandatory condition for being admitted into
heaven and for being able to stand in the holy place of God. Who
shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? Or who shall stand in his holy place?
He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul
unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. (Ps. 24:3-4).
In order to be whiter than snow, you can be likened
to someone putting on a wedding garment whereas the person that does not put on
his wedding garment shall be thrown out of the wedding ceremony. Then
said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and
cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. (Mt.
22:13). You need to know that Jesus died for your sins while you were still
a sinner having paid the wages for your sins. No one was born into this world
without sin after having inherited Adamic sin. How then can man be justified
with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman? (Job 25:4).
You are to therefore put away any iniquity in your hand in order to draw near
to God as your heart is purified through the hearing of the word of God
followed by genuine repentance. It should be realized that two people cannot
walk together except they are on mutual agreement. (Amos 3:3). Any one who has
the hope of seeing Christ on the last day is to purify himself and to refrain
from having fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness (Eph. 5:11). In
order for you to receive the gift of salvation which Jesus purchased on the
cross, you need to accept His invitation as the Saviour. You are hereby assured
that Jesus Christ is now knocking at the door of your heart in order to come
inside and have fellowship with you. Behold, I stand at the door and knock; If
any man hear My voice, and opens the door, I will come into, him and will sup
with him, and he with Me. (Rev. 3:20). You are therefore advised to
open the door of your heart as Jesus the Saviour is beckoning upon you to look
unto Him and be saved.
There is no other name under heaven by which we could be saved except that of Jesus who is the Saviour of the world. (Acts. 4:12). As Jesus is by your side, be therefore prepared now to call upon Him and be saved. You are thus to acknowledge your sin, ask for the forgiveness and ask Jesus to come into your heart now to save you. As you believe that Jesus is the Son of God who died and was raised alive, your sins shall be forgiven. This washing away of your sins with the blood of Jesus which He shed on the cross will make you whiter than snow. This will enable you to live eternally with our Lord Jesus Christ in the holy city as those that are defiled with sin cannot enter into the holy city of heaven. And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life. (Rev.21:27). I advise you now to offer this prayer immediately in order to be qualified to enter into the holy city of heaven to have fellowship with our Lord Jesus Christ the Saviour.
Lord Jesus I thank you for putting off the veil of ignorance and unbelief from my eyes. I now realize the gravity of my sin which I confess, repent and ask for forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who died and shed His blood for the remission of my sins. I believe that my sins have been forgiven in answer to my prayer. In Jesus' name I have prayed.
There
are people who do not know the thoughts of the Lord God concerning them which
is the thought of peace and not evil to give them an expected end. (Jer.
29:11). These set of people fear the devil who is only able to kill the body
without being able to kill the soul. And I say unto you my friends, Be not
afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can
do. But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath
killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him. (Luke
12:4-5). Such people are yet to realize that they are to fear God who is
able to kill the body and soul and to cast into the lake of fire. Many are yet
to know that it is appointed unto man once to die and after death shall be the
judgement (Heb. 9:27). It is an issue of regret that a good number of people
have never sat down to count the cost if their souls should be lost in hell
fire. Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye
cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: (Mt.
25:41).
In the light of the foregoing, you need to urgently ponder over the
provisions of God for you in order to escape the judgement that will soon come
upon the ungodly. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet
sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood,
we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were
reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we
shall be saved by his life. (Rom. 5:8-10). You should not foresee
trouble as a prudent man and fail to take heed and allow yourself to be
punished (Pro. 23:3). As you are expected to start preparing to spend eternity
with your Creator, you should therefore not allow anything to lure you into
procrastination. What should now occupy your thought is the awful consequences
of dying without knowing Jesus Christ. The rich fool did not think about this
but he was making provisions for what he would feed upon for a long period of
time. And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many
years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. But God said unto him, Thou
fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those
things be, which thou hast provided? (Luke 12:19-20).
There is the need for you to meditate purposefully on the agonies of hell fire as compared to the everlasting joy in the presence of God in heaven. Your lack of concern for your final destination at the end of your sojourn on earth is of paramount importance. Those who have taken the warning of God upon sinners to repent and be converted with levity will undoubtedly face the wrath of God. Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins, may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; (Acts 3:19). This is because sinners shall never go unpunished as it shall not be well with the wicked whose days shall be shortened because they do not fear God. (Eccl. 8:11-13). As we are aware of the terror of God upon sinners, you are therefore persuaded to repent of your sins as it is certain that all shall appear to give account of our stewardship. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences. (2 Cor. 5:10-11). We are to know and think about this as every one of us shall give account of himself to God. (Rom. 14:12). As the coming of the Lord that will usher severe judgement upon the ungodly is very imminent, you are therefore enjoined to think in the right direction that will give you eternal joy and comfort rather than pain and anguish in the lake of fire. You are to know with assurance that the gift of salvation is always available before you to accept and be free from the bondage of Satan. You should remember that the devil has no good plan for you rather than his deceit that will usher you into perdition. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. (John 10:10). Jesus is merciful to save and He is always waiting for you to accept His invitation in order to have eternal life. Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. (Mt. 11:28). You are therefore advised to repent, confess Jesus with your mouth and believe in your heart that He is the Son of God and Saviour who died for your sins and was raised up from the dead. Please pray thus in order to be ushered into the Kingdom of God.
My Lord, I thank you for the encouragement to think about my eternal destination. I have come to realize your good plan for me against the evil plan of the devil. I repent of my sins and ask for forgiveness. I confess Jesus Christ as my Saviour and believe that He is the Son of God who died for my sins and was raised up by God for my justification. I thank you for answered prayer. In Jesus' name I have prayed.
Jesus
Christ is the source of eternal life and peace as He came to this world to give
mankind eternal life and peace. Many people are in this world today who do not
know the importance of eternal life and peace for their breakthrough, success
and victory throughout their sojourn on earth. Those who do not have eternal
life will ultimately end up in perdition, even as a seed that has its growing
part rotten cannot germinate when planted. Any person that has not therefore
received eternal life here on earth can only resurrect to damnation and
condemnation which is the second death. Verily,
verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent
me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed
from death unto life. Verily, verily, I
say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the
voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live. (Jn. 5:24-25).
It should be known to all and sundry that while the devil came to steal, kill and destroy, Jesus on the other hand came to give us life and to give us more abundantly. (Jn. 10:10). God the Father gave Jesus Christ the power to give eternal life to as many as the Father has given Him. As many as know the only true God and Jesus Christ to whom God has sent shall have eternal life. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. (John 17:3). The life that has no peace is full of crisis, problems and calamities. This is because Jesus Christ who is the Prince of Peace is not dwelling in such person as it is only in Jesus that we can have peace. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. (John 14:27). In that sinners are full of evil activities and evil thoughts, they are thus spiritually ignorant for which they know no peace. There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked. (Is. 57:21).
It is rather pathetic that those who have not received eternal life and without any hope of living eternally with God in heaven are not aware of the consequences of living in the danger of eternal damnation. And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: (Heb. 9:27). In the same vein, those that are not enjoying peace in their lives are busy going from pillar to post looking for the perceived solution to their problems. We looked for peace, but no good came; and for a time of health, and behold trouble! (Jer. 8:15). This is because such people are not aware that eternal life and peace only come together as one receives Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour. THEREFORE being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. (Rom. 5:1). This is because Jesus Christ is our peace and for this purpose He came to the world to seek and to save those that are lost in sin. For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost. (Lk. 19:10).
It is the problem of the sin of mankind that has robbed man eternal life and peace. Jesus our sin bearer is the one that was crucified and died for the sin of the world. Jesus was raised up from the dead by God the Father for the justification of those who received His gift of salvation. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: (Jn. 1:12). In order therefore to receive eternal life and peace, you need to acknowledge your sins, confess them and repent while asking for forgiveness. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.(Rom. 10:9-10). You have to believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who has died for your sins and was raised up for your justification. Having known the pathway to salvation that leads to eternal life and peace, I enjoin you to offer this prayer immediately.
The Almighty God, I thank you for revealing the secret of eternal life and peace unto me. I now realize my sins, confess and repent of them while pleading for forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who died for my sins and was raised up for my justification. I thank you for answered prayer. In Jesus' name I prayed.
It is the will of God that all should be saved
and come into the knowledge of truth. (I Tim. 2:4). It is a common saying that
ignorance of the law is no excuse. All and sundry should also know that
ignorance of the laws of God is no excuse for being punished. And
that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did
according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. But he that knew not,
and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For
unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men
have committed much, of him they will ask the more. (Lk. 12:47-48).
This is the reason why everybody should know the will of God concerning
himself. God's will is obedience to His word which is mandatory for mankind. It
is for this purpose that God has given conscience to everybody through which
they relate with their Creator. As there is no respect of persons with God,
judgement of people is in accordance to the priviledge that not only the
hearers of the law are justified but the doers of the law shall be justified as
their conscience shall bear them witness. (Rom. 2:11-15).
If those who do not
have any knowledge of the laws of any country are punished for contravening
such laws, how much more shall God punish those who know His will and yet are
disobedient in their actions. There are many people today who claim to be
attending various churches while giving alms, praying to God, fearing God,
seeing visions and considered being just and reputable in the sight of men but
are yet to answer the call to salvation. A devout man, and one that feared God with
all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway (Acts.
10:2). Such people have to answer
the call of God as was the case with devoted Cornelius and his household in the
Bible that heard the message of Peter when the Holy Ghost fell on them. (Acts.
10:44). Such people should know that God loves them as Christ died for them. But
God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ
died for us (Rom. 5:8). It should be realized that if the righteous
could be scarcely saved the unrighteous and the ungodly cannot but face the
judgement of God.
In order to therefore do the will of God, you ought to know
that Jesus came into this world to save sinners. This is a faithful saying, and
worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save
sinners; of whom I am chief. (1 Tim. 1:15). Jesus came to this world to
do the will of God the Father in order to die for the sin of mankind which
brought about the reconciliation between the man that was lost in sin to his
Creator God. Jesus purchased the gift of salvation for mankind with His precious
blood that He shed on the cross. And almost all things are by the law purged
with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission (Heb. 9:22).
As many as believe on the finished work of Jesus on the cross of Calvary shall
be saved. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth
on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into
condemnation; but is passed from death unto life (Jn. 5:24). Anybody
who through apathy. disobedience, pride, tradition and hardness of heart that
fail to know and to do the will of God shall be liable to the judgement of God.
In order to therefore escape the judgement of God for failure to do His will
and which attracts being cast into everlasting fire, one has to urgently answer
the call of the Lord God. Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends
of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else (Isa. 45:22).
For
you to answer the call of the Saviour, you must first have to acknowledge your
sins that have separated between you and your Creator.
You will thus confess
your sins, repent and forsake them while asking for forgiveness. You are also
to believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who died on the cross and shed
His blood for the remission of your sins and also that God has raised Him up
from the dead.
I plead with you not to procrastinate until you are beaten with
many stripes for failure to do God's will. You are thus encouraged to rise up
and put the devil to shame as you resolutely determine to do God's will. In
order to do the will of God perfectly from the heart, you have to urgently
offer this prayer. My most loving God and Creator, I thank you for revealing
your will to me.
I now realize that I have all the while been living in
disobedience to your will. I acknowledge my sins, I confess and repent of them
and plead for forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who
died and shed His blood for the remission of my sins. I also believe that God
has raised up Jesus from the dead to give me eternal life. I believe that my prayer has been answered. In
Jesus' name I prayed.
Many
people do not realize that no one can receive anything except it is given to
him by the Lord God. Every good gift and every perfect gift is
from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no
variableness, neither shadow of turning (James 1:17). Salvation is the
eternal gift which Jesus Christ purchased for mankind with His precious blood
which was shed on the cross and there He obtained eternal redemption for us. We
are to realize that all the blessings that come from the Lord God cannot be
received unless they are made to locate us. This was why Jesus declared that no
one can come to Him except such a person is given to Him by the heavenly Father
(Jn. 6:65). We are to know that the gift by grace and the free gift that came
upon all men unto justification of life is only by Jesus Christ who has given
us eternal life. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life
through Jesus Christ our Lord (Rom. 6:23). It should therefore be known
to all and sundry that as salvation is through Jesus Christ, those that shall
be definitely located with this eternal gift are enjoined to hear His word and
to believe on Him. He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that
believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him (Jn.
3:36).
Saul who later became Paul in
the Bible was located with salvation on his way to Damascus where he was going
to persecute Christians as he had an encounter with the Lord Jesus (Acts.
9:3-6). There are testimonies that some people were located with the gift of
salvation as they went not only to listen to preachers but to mock them but
were arrested by the Holy Spirit with conviction of their sins that led to
their repentance. This is a confirmation that as many come to Jesus Christ
shall be as located with salvation as they shall not be cast away. All
that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in
no wise cast out (Jn. 6:37).
This is because Jesus Christ came to seek and to save the lost and for this
Zacchaeus had to climb the sycamore tree where he was located with salvation as
he came down and received Jesus joyfully (Lk. 19:5-6,10). In that John the
Baptist testified about Jesus as the Lamb of God who came to take away the sin
of the world, therefore two of his disciples that heard him then followed Jesus
as salvation located them (Jn. 1:29, 37). The testimonies of Jesus Christ from
friends and relations will enhance our being located with salvation as Andrew
who had followed Jesus brought his brother Simon Peter to Christ. He first
findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias,
which is, being interpreted, the Christ. And he brought him to Jesus. (Jn.
1:41-42).
Jesus Christ Himself located Philip with salvation and Philip also found Nathanael and was located with salvation. Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph (Jn. 1:45). Salvation can locate us everywhere and even in our places of work as James and John as well as Matthew were located by Jesus Christ in their places of work. (Mt. 4:21-22). And as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose, and followed him (Mt. 9:9). We are to realize that God loves us and does not want us to lose our eternal gift as He wishes that the whole world should be saved. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (Jn. 3:16). In the light of the foregoing, we are aware that salvation can locate us through various means and sources and we should therefore surrender ourselves to be saved. This will enable us to realize the blessings that will locate us in first seeking the kingdom of God. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you (Mt. 6:33). In that Abraham in the Bible was located with blessings for his obedience, our own obedience to the call of Jesus will enhance our blessings in that through His poverty we might be rich. (2Cor. 8:9). It is to be known to all and sundry that being located with the gift of salvation will guarantee us eternal life whereby we shall be qualified to live with the Lord Jesus in the heavenly kingdom.
The pathway to being located with the gift of salvation is to thus acknowledge your sins, confess, repent and to forsake them. We are to believe and confess with our mouth the Lordship of Jesus Christ who is the Son of God. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved (Rom. 10:9). We are also to believe on the crucifixion and death of Jesus on the cross as well as His resurrection that has given us the hope of our resurrection to life. The blood shed on the cross by Jesus has given us redemption through the forgiveness of our sins. (Eph. 1:7).
We are thus enjoined to urgently offer this prayer so as to
be located with eternal gift of salvation.
My Lord and my God, I thank you for
revealing to me the reality of my eternal gift of salvation. I now believe that
this eternal gift shall definitely locate me.
I now acknowledge my sins,
confess and repent them while pleading for forgiveness. I confess Jesus Christ
who is the Son of God as my Lord and Saviour. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sins and God has
raised Him up for my justification.
I thank you for answered prayer. In Jesus' name I prayed.
It
is pathetic that due to the ignorance of men they have failed to recognise
their Creator God which has on many occasions resulted in disasters and
untimely death. These ignorant people due to their pride and self confidence
have been taking actions and utterances on false and carnal securities. Such
people being ignorant of the power and will of their Creator have put their
trust on the deceit of the devil as the future is hidden to them. Those who do
not recognise their Creator God and also fail to do His will are regarded as
being foolish. The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt,
they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good (Ps. 14:1).
Report has it that a dietician who failed to recognise the grace of God for
longevity carnally believed that eating nutritious diets that resulted in his
obesity would prolong his days on earth. The dietician with his false hope and
for his failure to seek and to do God's will died prematurely at the age of
forty years. Another man falsely believed that his regular jogging would
enhance the normal functioning of his body organs and that would ensure his
longevity. In that the man did not seek the grace of God for longevity but only
believed in jogging, he was reported to have died suddenly while jogging at the
age of fifty two years. An elderly man was reported to have declared on a radio
programme that even though he did not know God, yet he was of sound health and
was still strong physically at the age of seventy two years. The man was to
appear on a television programme the following week to publicise that his
longevity was not dependent on knowing God and in doing His will. In that this
elderly man was deceived by not recognizing the supremacy of the Creator God
for longevity, he was reported to have died suddenly and was no longer able to
disseminate false information on the television.
We should know the purpose of
the Lord in prolonged days. The fear of the LORD prolongeth days: but
the years of the wicked shall be shortened (Prov. 10:27). These people
were not aware that nothing is impossible with God but they have been deceived
into believing in false hope as they were blind folded by the devil. But
if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this
world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the
glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them (2
Cor. 4:3-4). We are to know that God is our Creator who will guide us unto
death and that His breath has given us life. And the LORD God formed man of
the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and
man became a living soul (Gen. 2:7). We are to therefore trust in the
Lord our God and not to lean on our understanding in that as we keep His words
in our hearts, they shall be life to us and health to all our hearts, they
shall be life to us and health to all our flesh. Some trust in chariots, and some
in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God (Ps. 20:7).
The present advanced level of technology in science has made people to easily
forget their Creator God while enjoying ease and comfort that will eventually
lead them into perdition in that God created us for His pleasure to worship and
to praise His name. Man does not know what the future shall be as our days on
earth are a shadow. Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life?
It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that
(James 4:14-15). This is placing emphasis on the need to recognise the
will of God rather than putting confidence on carnal securities of good diets
and jogging. This is because it was the carnal security in pleasure seeking
that caused the death of the rich fool in the Bible. And I will say to my soul, Soul,
thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and
be merry. But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be
required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? (Lk.
12:19-20). It is to be realized that there is a season and a time to every
purpose under the heaven as there is a time to be born and a time to die but
this is not known unto man. For man also knoweth not his time: as the
fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the
snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly
upon them (Eccl 9:12).
In the light of the foregoing, you are therefore
enjoined to acknowledge the love of God for mankind in sending His only
begotten Son to the world for their salvation so that the world would be
delivered from the bondage of the devil. We should not see the great danger in
our failure to recognise God and yet still persist in our pride and self
confidence. A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple
pass on, and are punished (Prov. 22:3). The pathway to knowing our
Creator God is to seek Him for His mercy and pardon. Seek ye the LORD while he may be
found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and
the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will
have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon (Isa.
55:6-7). In that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Saviour, we are to believe on
His name to be saved, as those who die without knowing Jesus shall be cast into
hell and that we are saved by grace through faith and not of ourselves. That
if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine
heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved (Rom.
10:9).
Jesus Christ is the Son of God who was crucified on the cross where
He died and shed His precious blood for the remission of our sins. Jesus was
whom God raised up from the dead which had given us the hope of living
eternally with Him.
You are thus enjoined to offer this prayer so as to be
ushered into the kingdom of God and also to have fellowship with the Lord
Jesus.
The Almighty God, I thank you for having enlightened me to know your love and purpose for me. I have now realized that the devil has been deceiving me in putting my trust on false hope.
I acknowledge my sins, repent and forsake
them and appeal to you for my forgiveness.
I believe that Jesus Christ is the
Son of God who died for my sins on the cross and whom God has raised up for my
justification as I confess Him as my Lord and Saviour,
I thank you for answered prayer. In Jesus' name I have prayed.
